... and jumped ahead right after class. I just finished with my 3rd wilton class a few hours ago. I couldn't resist. I needed ... yes, needed... haha .. to make the rose. I couldn't just do the base and the center petal... so I read up, and practice... for like 2 hours? I didn't really get the hang of it, but got a finished product! I'm happy with it.. especially for not being taught the right way to do it. My rose has too many petals, but I like how it's in full bloom, not partial. This was my last attempt at the roses before my bag ran out of icing. It's always nice to end on a sweet note... :)
: ) I was just glad it actually looks kind of like a real rose, with ripped up petals and all. I don't know how to get perfectly smoothed ones.. but would like to think that bugs have gotten to the edges of my rose petals ... which ... could happen in real life!
Carefully placing it on my cupcake.... holding my breath... and hoping the rose doesn't drop or crack in half. I don't know why my eyes were closed... maybe it was too scary to watch haha
Ok.. I keep changing this picture... I don't know if I like this picture more or the top one... oh well. This was placed on sheet music! I love classical piano pieces. I want to learn a Chopin song, that will take a lot of work :( I should practice the rose a little more, I really only had one rose completed.. I can't stand eating that frosting, so all of my other practice ones went back into the frosting container so I can practice again X 1000! I gave this cupcake away as well... I only ate the less decorated ones. Pillsbury cake mixes are so yummy, but so disgustingly sweet :/. Yes, I finally used a cake mix.... no cake from scratch this week... yet... : )
