Ok, so I'm not a fan of cases, but I had some scraps left from the camera strap tutorial a few posts below see : Making my camera straps more girly From the scraps, I ended up making a telephoto bag (I've been using a satin-y gift bag for "protection" haha) a small sleeve for my digital camera as well as one for my iphone. I had the day to myself today, and I moved the sewing machine into my room so I can sew in peace. I tried to sew everything quickly so my mom didn't come home and lecture me about how ugly my seams were..and how I didn't back-stitch on a lot of the seams. This took me awhile. The little cases were really easy, but the large telephoto lens bag was a headache. I made the bag, double stitched it for security and... the bag was TOO small. I spent a good 30 minutes removing all of my stitching... then had to piece together a few scraps to make it the correct size. Then I had to figure out how to secure the top. I was going to do a draw string, but the fabric is way too thick. Thankfully I figured it out. and hopefully this will give my lens better protection (I really don't like the bulky cases from lowepro... I have a small one which is nice.. but the telephoto ones are huge!)
All of these things = 1/4 of a yard of fabric.. and a mere $2.50 : )
