Yes, I went there. I actually do this a lot. I love instant ramen. But... it's always lacking in substance.... today I decided to kick it up a notch by adding more things... just to get in more nutrients for the day. I'm still nursing my cold, maybe I've been babying it so much that it doesn't want to leave me... sigh....so I wanted to eat something warm... and spicy. I read that spicy foods does wonders for congestion/ runny nose... I'm not sure if that did much, but due to my altered "sick day" taste, I couldn't really feel too much of the heat :( My favorite brand of ramen is the Shin Ramyun (this brand scared me a few months back when someone had a claim that causes cancer?... I don't know... and I obviously didn't find the claims too credible... (vs. all the things I eat).. so I bought more!) .... it's better than a lot of soups that I eat from the restaurants... my usual dress up includes an egg, but I wasn't feeling too eggy today. Soup soup soup... who thought that this would cure the cold? ... why not sandwiches? I don't think my foods did anything to how my cold progressed.. if anything this ramen dehydrated me even more...and when all else fails... Mom to the rescue!... bringing me her home made jook .... and fresh squeezed fruit juice. Yes.... the perks of having a mom who still would drive out and deliver food to her sick daughter... I'm too lucky ... and hope to be that Mom one day :)
