Rosemary Bread

Rosemary Bread

- An herby and wonderfully moist bread .. uh oh here comes the ugly hole ... one of the reasons why I hate baking in the machine is because the paddle is left in it while baking creating a hole throughout 1/4- 1/3 of the loaf.

- The perfect size for one person! I already ate over half of the loaf and it's only been... ummm... less than a day!

- I had poor handling with the top when getting the bread out of the pan... it's all wrinkly and smushed...

Typically, bread from a bread machine is basic, and boring. I have made white, wheat, egg, and honey breads in this machine and many have been duds. They're either too dry, too bland, or just... don't even rise! I've had my share of tragedies using my bread machine, and I've only had it for 9 months. Nonetheless, I love making bread. I used to make it the old fashion way by just kneading it by hand and letting it rise by the oven, but this bread machine has been a great time saver! I started making breads when I was 5... It was a sisterly bonding thing haha. My mom would spread out newspaper on the dining room floor and we would sit with the bread machine there and all the measuring spoons and stuff, those were the days... but the result of making your own bread is that you'll get to eat it when it's fresh out of the oven, and that... is why I made this one.

I had a midterm today. A history midterm. I have never taken a history class in college before, but I needed to take this one just to graduate. I hate history, but I was getting so hungry. I decided to toss everything into the pan, set it, and then studied. This bread is supposed to be a clone of the macaroni grill's bread...and omg.. was it tasty. The Rosemary and Italian Spices really really made this bread so flavorful. I have to actually buy my own rosemary and spices when I get back home. I'm currently stealing spices out of this spice rack at my sublet : P. One gripe about this is that it's a tad salty, it may be because I used sea salt, but who knows. I reheat these in the toaster, and dip with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I paired it with Chef Boyarde raviolis, yes I know, classy. That was not appetizing, so much for convenience foods out of a can...
