Arf ARF : )

So, I really can't do these "finale" cakes if I'm not really feeling it, and I'm really feeling it now, and I'm left with a nicely white fondant covered chocolate cake with no decorations. :( I finally finished my 2 fondant classes, today, but I really have nothing to really showcase what I've learned. I will try to finish my cake tomorrow before it really spoils, and then finish all my fondant figures. I made a dog out of fondant (among other things like a piggy that was supposed to be a bunny, and a snake with no eyeballs and fangs.) I think it's really cute, it would be so cute to top a cake with it, or even to put on a shelf... haha, I hope I can remember how to recreate it when I do want to make another one. It kind of looks cartoon-ish. This dog took around an hour to make, it's pretty plain, but I like it that way, plain, simple, and cute, and still, completely edible, but why would you want to eat such a thing?!


Cute hm? It even has a "wet" nose! Gosh I miss my doggies .. it seems like everyone has one now, especially those really adorable carry around dogs, and I don't have one, and when no one had one, I had too many to take care of. : ( May all my babies rest in peace in doggie heaven : ( Oh well, Fish will do, he's frantically blowing a new bubble nest now, ahh so cute! Ok, maybe I will learn how to make a fondant fish next : )

So most girls have makeup hauls, clothing hauls, whatever hauls... I have art/baking accessories hauls. I finally bought "the" kit for gumpaste flowers and stuff, I figured one of these things will be handy some time or another. It's such a pretty kit, and it totally reminds me of the dental offices... and the thousands of trays I probably set up in my life so far. Ah, I guess this will do for now. I also picked up my sharpie haul from Staples. Cyber Monday was awesome. 20 really cool sharpies for...17 cents shipped! Gosh I love deals like that... it makes me feel like I'm stealing, when I'm not : )
