oh gosh.. this took way too much effort to find a replacement for my defective mixer. I went to Costco 3 times this week, and calling on the days I didn't go in. I found out that this mixer isn't really going to be sold at Costco for awhile, maybe because demands won't be high until the holidays. I had the manager track down the next shipment, and there was one coming at the end of the week.... and then it didn't come in. haha... The shipment was late, but it did arrive. This was a fresh shipment... never been touched or handled by customers. I had them bring out the forklift to bring down the crate. (surprisingly 5 people in my area bought this stand mixer in the past 2 weeks... at regular price (I bought it on sale haha!)...only the display was left..) One of the guys helping me tore off the plastic, and handed me... a silver one. Poo. haha... What I've found by going through this mixer-finding-adventure has been this... most guys just don't understand. Women get it... but guys... especially all the ones that helped me at Costco.... there were a ton of guys helping me there (I didn't know that most people working at that Costco were men.. especially in management)... to locate a shipment... stock at other stores...returning the old one....overriding the price...yea... they didn't get why I wanted a red one, and specifically ... a red... one, nothing else. haha I guess I'm still crazy. Oh well, my mixer works, and it doesn't rattle. I knew it shouldn't. I can picture it in my new kitchen now.... taking up quite a bit of room.. but oh, so, sexy... next to my fridge. :) Hope there will be no returns (knocks on wood)... because.. if it rattles again.. I think I will just say that I've lost faith in this mixer and kitchenaid.
Name: Pierre 2.0 or Sir Mix A Lot
Birthday: 5/22/2010
Well, I can't decide what to name him. The name Pierre didn't get to live out its life...so maybe I should just stick with it.. Well, while contemplating names.. I thought of Sir Mix A Lot.. iono if it just came to me.. or if I saw it on a forum. This is an awesome name for this mixer! There's another reason why I was going to name it that... but I'm not going to say online :P haha It's kind of mean.
Sir Mix a Lot-
"I like baked buns I cannot lie... With some creamy butter on the side...That when a girl walks in with a itty bitty waist and a round thing on her plate... you get.... hung... (gry.)"
Ok, enough of my obnoxiousness hahaha
You know what happened on 5/22/2009? I pulled the trigger and got my camera. I remember the day I picked it up from the store... I worked all weekend, and after work one day, I ventured off to that store to pick it up. It was one of the last cameras available for pick-up in the LA area, and I so happen to work right by it! (Work was 35 miles away) Good times. I remember taking it home... and contemplating my purchase... asking myself if this camera was worth the cost .. Most of the pics I took with it on my first few days were with flash. I didn't know any better.. and I lived in a really dark studio.. that had one window.. that faced a ivy covered hill. I spent many hours figuring out how to use it... and well.. after 1 year I'm still learning! I can't believe it's been a year! It's been all over CA, Seattle, Victoria, Vegas, Miami, Keys.....I've taken thousands of pictures... and it's still as good as new (I don't have a bag or case for it.. I normally just throw it into my big purse.. hahha oh well... this was meant to take food pictures... and I have plenty of pictures that I am so proud of this past year!
Happy Birthday, my Rebel!
