These were puffy, cakey, with crisp edges and chewy centers. I say that's a pretty delicious description of a cookie, don't you think so? This is just another classic tried and true recipe in my books!

Snickerdoodly Doodles
Snickerdoodles! That word is just so fun to say! I've made these cookies before, but never blogged about it. I like flattened snicker doodles, so maybe next time I should try with all butter. I read up on a lot new recipes for this type of cookie. There's that controversy of using "disgusting" shortening... vs just butter. Well, whatever, live a little. There's so little shortening per cookie in this recipe that I know you'll find much more unhealthy fats in processed foods. I did use shortening, but combined it with butter. I followed the recipe almost to a T... minus 1/3 of the sugar, and it was still plenty sweet.
