Earl Grey Gin Cocktail

I think I'm being optimistic about ever finding this drink at a bar... but I'll keep looking. I combined my favorite tea flavor with my favorite hard liquor... add lemon, sugar, ice, shake it up... and boom... a refreshing drink perfect for those end of the day wind downs. I first discovered gin back in January.... a friend was shocked that I've never had a gin and tonic.. as he called it the old man's drink... he ordered me one... and just like that I was hooked. I found my go to drink. Gin and tonic... a simple drink... all bars have it..... sweet and easy to drink.. and the plus side... it's CLEAR... which is probably one of the best part about that drink in crowded clubs and bars.... spillage on white shirts, pants, or dresses? ... No problem whatsoever.

I did my research..... and with the help of Spotify... and their oh so frequent... semi-catchy... semi- wow this guy has a nice voice...  Tanqueray ads... I decided to get  a bottle. I think it's been 3 years since I've bought a bottle of hard liquor...so I didn't feel too bad semi splurging on a better bottle of gin. I looked up recipes for something a little fancier than a gin and tonic... and found one with earl grey... my absolute favorite tea flavor. There were recipes of infusing the gin for a martini, and others that just used a strong brewed cold tea concentrate to make a cocktail... I tried both ... and both did not disappoint. I think I'll perfect my recipe before I post it... this one was made without infusing the gin, just combined tea and gin.. as well as everything else..
