1 tsp dry active yeast
1/2 cup warm water ( 110 degrees)
1 tbs olive oil
1 tsp white sugar
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1 tbs butter or margarine , melted, to brush onto the crust
Corn meal for dusting the pan
- Preheat oven at 400 degrees
- Dissolve yeast with warm water, wait 5 minutes
- Mix into the yeast mixture everything else, except the melted butter and corn meal, together to form a dough
- Either knead the dough for 5 minutes, until semi-smooth, or place into your bread machine on dough setting for 10 minutes ( I did the bread machine way, too lazy to put in effort haha)
- Stretch or roll out desired shape, bake without toppings on a baking sheet sprinkled with corn meal, for 5 minutes.
- Reduce oven heat to 375 degrees
- Top as you wish ( my pizza sauce was a combination of ketchup and bbq sauce, i used a colby cheese blend, with mozzarella, and feta, along with some brown sugar ham and caramelized onions in which i pan fried until soft) Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese in the center has melted, in the last 5 minutes brush crust with butter so it will brown up nicely.
- Why not have a little fun with your food ? : ) : (
- Made it again another night, but personal size! These things taste a lot better the next day.. heated in a 400 degrees oven for 15 minutes
lol at the smilies on your pizza dough!
