Change is?

Um. Change? I've been eyeing a cherry red Le Creuset for many years now. I haven't justified buying it, so I never did. I just played with it and admired the pretty colors of that section of the store when I go, amazed by how heavy that pot could be. I don't spend much on my pots and pans. All of them are under 30 bucks..and I expect them to last me at least 3 years because I trust their quality. My best pieces are Calphalon, and boy are they worth it, but then again I should have stocked up since I find them at such cheap prices. I could have started with a cheaper dutch oven, I've looked at ones from martha stewart, and lodge, but I don't know, they were larger and not much cheaper than the deals I've seen with Le Creuset.

Introducing~ Limon
I've been revamping my kitchen the past few weeks with new cooking things (this is my form of retail therapy... clothes can last a few seasons... cookware lasts years!) and saw that bloomies had a great deal on this dutch oven. It was the perfect size for probably 2 people, but realistically, it will just be for me and my tummy :(. I went to bloomies last night after another long week. I haven't physically shopped in over 2 months... and then the damaged happened. I bought the pot among other things..... the VERY last one at the bloomies in SF... not in red. but in Yellow Dijon. I liked the red, but 1. they didn't' have it (i was going to buy it online at 7:30 that morning... but didn't want to pay 11 bucks for shipping...) 2. it's not a vibrant red! it's a gradient... which makes the lower portion really dark.... iono. I love my empire red from the kitchen aid, just wish all companies could make their reds super sexy.

I've been researching a lot about this pot and realized that I can't start making bread in it until I buy a metal replacement knob. You would think such an expensive pot would not come with plastic parts... but it does, and the knob can only withstand significantly cooler temps than the max of this pot. WEIRD.... think it through Le Creuset... PLEASE. I've seen the metal knobs on certain models... but not all. Oh well, maybe they're rolling out them soon.

"I will have this forever, and it better be worth the hype" 4.5 quart oval Le Creuset named: Limón ... she's cute, sophisticated, stylish, and well... French (don't mind the spanish name...citron didn't seem to fit the pot... and well I think I've been watching too much Hart of Dixie.... haha) :D...Decent deal? Regular Price : $295 ...Sale Price: $99.99!

I now have 2 treasured things in my kitchen: Limón + Pierre Escargot (my KA mixer)... ok I think I've gone a lil crazy with naming my kitchen stuff... so much more than when I name my pets... hm... maybe that saids a lot about my loves.

First thing I will make is ... Bread... the infamous no knead bread !
